TRUCK RENTAL BUSINESS GRABS TWO X-WAY TIPPERS

A national truck rental company has invested in two 32-tonne tipper grabs as it expands its fleet.

ND Brown, a leading supplier of specialist HGVs, tippers and more throughout the UK, purchased

two 8x4 Iveco X-Way tipper grab chassis from Guest Truck and Van, with a contactless delivery made during lockdown.

The family business, which has been trading for 40 years, runs five depots across the UK - located in

Wolverhampton, Devon, Kent, Stirling and Belfast - with a fleet size of around 600.

The double purchase from Guest marks the first 32 tonne Ivecos to join the ND Brown fleet,

although the company already owns a number of Iveco Daily vehicles.

Nigel Brown, Chairman, said: “We have a long standing professional relationship advice with Guest

Truck and Van, who advised us to give these X-Way’s a try.

“We value their advice and trust the brand, so we are excited to see what our hire customers think.

“They are towards the higher end of our fleet in terms of size and will form part of our general fleet,

rather than being purchased for a particular contract.

“The service from Guest during the lockdown period was great, taking safety, cleaning and social

distancing into account.”

ND Brown supplies the utility, civil engineering, municipal and highway maintenance industries with

high-quality modern HGV vehicles for both short and long-term self-drive hire.

Guest Truck and Van is the largest IVECO dealer in the UK with 13 different locations.

Jeremy Hulme, New Business Development Manager, said: “We are delighted to have supplied ND

Brown with the two X-Way tipper grabs.

“Having worked with Nigel and the team for around 10 years now, we felt that this vehicle would be

a perfect fit for their fleet.

“Working with ND Brown, we arranged a contact-free delivery of the vehicle and even managed to

get a bit creative with the key handover, utilising the grab feature of the truck.”
