ANY FIN IS POSSIBLE AS BUSINESS CONSULTANT LAUNCHES ANGLING STORE IN BROMSGROVE


A former business consultant has gone hook, line and sinker into a new career after opening an angling shop fit for the 21st century in Worcestershire.


Richard Cooper, who perfected his coarse fishing skills alongside the lakes in Florida, USA, and his wife Sandra, have opened Rods and Lines on Bromsgrove Technology Park after six months of trading solely online.


The 2500 sq ft store, on George Road opened for business prior to lockdown after an eight-week fit out to accommodate the range of 3000+ carefully selected products for all angling enthusiasts.


The team have used the lockdown period to install safe social distancing measures and ensure orders can be fulfilled during the pandemic.


Richard said: “I’m excited to open the store, which is reinventing what an angling shop looks and feels like. They’re often quite old fashioned, but we pride ourselves on being a fully inclusive, family friendly and inviting shop that welcomes everyone - from children just starting out to expert anglers who want to use the very best equipment.


“We’ve a great selection of products and are a one-stop shop for all coarse & match, carp and predator angling needs - from terminal tackle to seat boxes, rods, reels and luggage, clothing to bivvies and bed systems. We’re looking forward to welcoming our customers and providing a first-class service.”


Rods and Lines is an authorised dealer for 24 leading brands, including Shimano, Fox, Fox Rage, Lew’s, Daiwa, Korda, Guru, Matrix, Garbolino, Middy, Kodex, Trakker, Cynet, Sonik Sports, Frenzee, Wolf, NGT, Reuben Heaton, Isolate, Sticky Baits, Mainline Baits, Sonubaits. The store is complemented by its online shop, which offers next-day delivery on selected products Items as well as a Click and Collect option, with pick up from the store.
